Tikigaq Corporation was established in 1971 under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA), taking away tribal rights and instead, creating a corporation, along with providing money and land, to ensure the cultural and financial well being of the people. We are an Alaska Native Village Corporation (ANC) for Point Hope, Alaska. Over 850 of our 1,000 Alaska Native shareholders still reside in the village, continuing the traditional life of old.
