The mission of the foundation is to perpetuate the Ahtna Heritage and enhance the socio-economic status of the Ahtna people.
To accomplish this mission the foundation shall use the traditional culture, in all its facets, as the primary means to enhance the education, the life skills, the pride and self esteem of the Ahtna people.
The past shall be used as a bridge to help the Ahtna people move from their traditional life style to a socio-economic position of self sufficiency in the current and future Alaskan society, while at the same time retaining the positive aspects of the Ahtna history and culture.
Ahtna shareholders and their descendants are eligible to apply for the "Walter Charley Memorial Scholarship Grant".

Cook Inlet Tribal Council, Inc. (CITC) provides social, educational and employment services to Alaska Natives and Native Americans living in the Cook Inlet region. Established in 1983 by Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) as a nonprofit social service agency, CITC administers over forty culturally appropriate programs designed to assist individuals and families to achieve self-determination. Annually these programs serve an average of 13,000 Alaska Natives and Native Americans. With a staff of more than 200 employees, CITC offers a variety of social services under six main departments: Alaska's People, Educational Services System, Family Services, Substance Abuse Services, Employment and Training Services, and Youth Opportunity.

Initially established in 1973 as the non-profit arm of the Bering Straits Native Association, Kawerak advocated for the settlement of the Alaska Native Land Claims Act. Today, Kawerak contracts with the state and federal government to provide services to residents of the Bering Strait Region, 75% of whom are American Indian, Eskimo or Aleut descent. Kawerak's organizational goal is to empower Alaska Native people and their governing bodies to take control of their future. With programs ranging from education to housing, and natural resource management to economic development, Kawerak seeks to improve the Region's social, economic, educational, cultural and political conditions.

hat Is KANA??
The Kodiak Area Native Association was formed in 1966 as a 501 (C)(3) non-profit corporation providing health and social services for the Alaska Natives of the Koniag region. The Kodiak AreaNative Association (KANA) service area includes the City of Kodiak and six remote Alaska Native villages. The six remote villages include: Akhiok, Karluk, Old Harbor, Ouzinkie, Port Lions, and Larsen Bay.
Historically, nonprofit corporations, such as KANA were formed throughout Alaska after the AlaskaNative Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) was enacted. The ANCSA settlement is an agreement between the United States Government and the Alaska Native Tribes. The ANCSA legislation distributed land to regional and village entities to establish for-profit corporations. Each of the regional profit corporations formed a separate non-profit corporation to assist their members with health and social service needs.

Each year the thirteen Alaska native regional corporations and over 200 village corporations distribute annual reports to their shareholders. The annual reports typically include a letter from the president of the corporation, current events within the corporation, and the financial statements of the year with corresponding notes. Sealaska Corporation¹s Website
Sealaska Heritage Institute (SHI) is a regional Native nonprofit organization founded for the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian people of Southeast Alaska. SHI was established in 1981 by Sealaska Corp., a for-profit company formed under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). SHI, formerly Sealaska Heritage Foundation, administers Sealaska Corp.'s cultural and educational programs.
The Seldovia Native Association was incorporated in 1972 as a village corporation under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act by Congress.
Sitnasuak Native Corporation (SNC) was established under the provisions of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act . Signed by President Nixon on December 18, 1971, the Act settled land ownership disputes between the U.S. and State governments and the aboriginal owners. On February 9, 1973, SNC was incorporated under Alaska State statutes as a land based profit corporation.
With the land entitlement of 161,280 acres, we have received patent to 43,486 acres and interim conveyance to 109,417 acres, which is approximately 95% of the total. The corporation has also received 81,280 acres of Sec.12(b). The subsurface resources are owned by Bering Straits Regional Corporation.
SNC, the largest of the 16 village corporations in the Bering Straits region had an initial enrollment of 2,054 shareholders in 1971. Currently, Sitnasuak shareholders have increased to 2,783 and growing through inheritance and gifting. Our corporate headquarters are located in Nome, Alaska.

The Arctic Education Foundation (AEF) mission is to promote, develop, implement, sponsor and maintain programs of assistance for worthy and needy Inupiat Natives of the Arctic Slope Region of Alaska, or descendants of such persons, so as to aid them in the furtherance of their education or vocational training.
The CIRI Foundation's mission is to promote individual self-development and economic self-sufficiency through education among Alaska Natives who are original enrollees of CIRI and their lineal descendants. The CIRI Foundation also strives to enhance the heritage of Alaska Natives through programs that foster appreciation and understanding of Alaska Native cultures.
Tikigaq Corporation was established in 1971 under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA), taking away tribal rights and instead, creating a corporation, along with providing money and land, to ensure the cultural and financial well being of the people.
We are an Alaska Native Village Corporation (ANC) for Point Hope, Alaska. Over 850 of our 1,000 Alaska Native shareholders still reside in the village, continuing the traditional life of old.
