    Ahtna Heritage Foundation

    The mission of the foundation is to perpetuate the Ahtna Heritage and enhance the socio-economic status of the Ahtna people.

    To accomplish this mission the foundation shall use the traditional culture, in all its facets, as the primary means to enhance the education, the life skills, the pride and self esteem of the Ahtna people.

    The past shall be used as a bridge to help the Ahtna people move from their traditional life style to a socio-economic position of self sufficiency in the current and future Alaskan society, while at the same time retaining the positive aspects of the Ahtna history and culture.

    Ahtna shareholders and their descendants are eligible to apply for the "Walter Charley Memorial Scholarship Grant".

    Alaska Native Education

    To help meet the unique educational needs of Alaska Natives and to support the development of supplemental educational programs to benefit Alaska Natives.

    Alaska Native Studies Department at UAF

    The Alaska Native Studies Department seeks to provide the student with a keen awareness of the scope, richness, and variety of Alaska Native cultural heritages, and a series of critical perspectives on the contemporary Native experience in the plural society of North America. The student’s academic program will be interdisciplinary as it is built upon a combination of appropriate courses currently offered in other specialized disciplines and of an integrated set of core courses offered by the ANS Department.

    Sealaska Heritage Foundation

    Sealaska Heritage Institute (SHI) is a regional Native nonprofit organization founded for the Tlingit, Haida and Tsimshian people of Southeast Alaska. SHI was established in 1981 by Sealaska Corp., a for-profit company formed under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). SHI, formerly Sealaska Heritage Foundation, administers Sealaska Corp.'s cultural and educational programs.

    The Arctic Education Foundation (AEF)

    The Arctic Education Foundation (AEF) mission is to promote, develop, implement, sponsor and maintain programs of assistance for worthy and needy Inupiat Natives of the Arctic Slope Region of Alaska, or descendants of such persons, so as to aid them in the furtherance of their education or vocational training.

    The CIRI Foundation

    The CIRI Foundation's mission is to promote individual self-development and economic self-sufficiency through education among Alaska Natives who are original enrollees of CIRI and their lineal descendants. The CIRI Foundation also strives to enhance the heritage of Alaska Natives through programs that foster appreciation and understanding of Alaska Native cultures.

    The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA)

    The Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) is located in one of the most diverse concentrations of Native peoples in North America, in the heart of the nation’s oldest multi-cultural communities and in one of the largest art markets in the country. The City of Santa Fe’s population is 63,203. The elevation is approximately 6,990. Situated on 140 acres of land 12 miles southwest of downtown Santa Fe, the IAIA campus environment supports natural plant and wildlife. In each direction, one has breathtaking views of the landscape. To the west are the Jemez Mountains; to the northeast are the Sangre de Christos Mountains, and to the south are the Ortiz Mountains with the Sandia Mountain Range looming behind them.

    The Kuskokwim Educational Foundation

    The Kuskokwim Educational Foundation's mission is to contribute to the future of our region by providing effective educational assistance in order that students obtain the tools, knowledge and skills to become successful and contributing members of their communities. Educational assistance is provided for Native people and their descendants from the Kuskokwim Corporation (TKC) region. A four-member board of directors oversees the operation of the Foundation and reviews scholarship applications. Board members are Samantha John-chairman, Angela Morgan-Vice Chairman, Maver Carey-Secretary / Treasurer and Lucy Brown-member.

    The SNA Foundation

    The SNA Foundation Consistent with the philosophy of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, the non-profit SNA Foundation endeavors to serve the economic and social needs of Alaska Natives enrolled in Seldovia Native Association by offering educational opportunties to eligible persons. It provides shareholders and their decendants with scholarships, grants, student aid, stipends and other means of support in connection with educational training at colleges, universities, vocational schools or other educational institutions, as well as educational training through apprenticeships, internships or other educational programs, which may be approved by the Board of Directors.
