Greetings!,
Because I believe that Alaska Natives must use all the tools available to them to make progress in this world, I am developing ANCSA.net. My goal is to empower my native brethren by harnessing the new technologies of the Internet now available to us so we can empower each other.
This will give each of us a voice that the world can hear.
We can share our knowledge to inform our brothers, sisters, youth and our elders of our own economic, political, physical, mental, spiritual and cultural situations. We can develop a common understanding of our people’s problems and challenges. Then develop alternative solutions that each person, family and community may wish to consider as we solve our common problems.
Let us not complain; let us share solutions! Let us love and be of service to one another, remembering that “love is an honest interest in and care for another being, without any sticky strings attached” and “service is an act of helpful activity.”
Here are some of the subjects we plan to address:
- Alaska Native History and Cultural information
- The Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 [ANCSA]
- Contact information for ANCSA Orgnizations
- News & information
- Digital Divide Issues in Rural Alaska
- Knowledge Based Economic Development
- Education & Employment Resources
- Discussion Forums
- Personal Web logs (Blogs).
- Groups
- Submit Content
- and more...
